Rihanna poses with baby Rocki on W magazine cover: What to know about her family

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna are not only two of music's biggest stars, they are also partners who put their family first.

The couple welcomed their first child, son RZA, in May 2022, and their second child, son Riot, in August 2023.

Their third child, a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers, was born Sept. 13, 2025, according to a post Rihanna shared on Instagram.

Rihanna recently posed with baby Rocki on the cover of W Magazine's Volume Three 2026 issue, dubbed The Pop Issue.

For the accompanying cover story, W interviewed those closest to the nine-time Grammy award winner, including A$AP Rocky, who spoke about how Rihanna has changed in the years since they first met.

"She has changed a lot because she became a mother in that time span, and that certainly changes you. But this woman has always been magic," the rapper said. "Philosophically, the way she operates is on another level. She is the most charming and genuine person on Earth. Her energy is unmatched -- one of a kind. I just adore her."

Earlier this year, describing the addition of Rocki to the family, A$AP Rocky told the New York Times' "Popcast" podcast that his daughter "came in and just kind of took over the whole household."

"Baby Rocki, man, she's something. You know, she's 4 months ... and she looks exactly identical to me. My twin, bro," the rapper said in the Jan. 15 interview.

It was A$AP Rocky who confirmed at the 2025 Met Gala in May that he and Rihanna were expecting their third child.

"It feels amazing, you know," A$AP Rocky told reporters at that time, after they congratulated him following media reports that the couple was expecting again, according to The . "It's time that we show the people what we was cooking up, and I'm glad everybody's happy for us, 'cause we definitely happy, you know."

The two artists first met in 2012 and started dating years later in 2019, according to an October 2024 feature on the rapper in W.

Three years ago, the couple became parents for the first time. Rihanna told Interview that their new chapter together felt like a natural next step.

"There was no denying it. It was the best thing that ever happened to us. It just happened," she said of welcoming her first child.

A$AP Rocky also told W that fatherhood profoundly changed his life.

"Once you a parent, you just embody that, no matter what," the 36-year-old said at the time, adding that Rihanna is a "great mom."

A$AP Rocky said becoming a dad has also changed the way he views his music today.

"I do have songs where I'm talking about my life, and fatherhood is one of the things that I bring up, though -- adapting to changes and having a work-family balance," he told W in October 2024.

RZA Mayers

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their first son, RZA, on May 13, 2022.

Rihanna has described her son as "an empath" who loves melodies and music, according to Harper's Bazaar.

She also told Interview the first word RZA ever said was simply, "Hey."

"I used to try to get his attention all the time, and I would say, 'Hey, hey, hey.' And one day he said it back to me in the same melody and I kept singing it and he kept following it over and over again," she said.

Riot Mayers

The artists became parents of two when they had their second son, Riot, on Aug. 3, 2023.

Rihanna told Harper's Bazaar that fellow singer and songwriter Pharrell Williams helped them select Riot's name.

"He gave us this name thinking it was going to be a girl, because he had seen something online," Rihanna said. "Pharrell is very deep. He's not surface. He will never say anything and just leave it there with a full stop. He will have the entire history: the energy, the time, the month that it is."

According to A$AP Rocky, Riot is the more outgoing of the couple's two sons.

"My second son is just a socialite at this point, you know? He wants to steal the room when he comes, and he walks in it, and he's addicted to cotton candy, and... he likes... typical little kid stuff," he said on the Jan. 15 episode of the "Popcast" podcast.

Rihanna has been spotted out and about on occasion with her two elder children, bringing both Riot and RZA with her to the U.S. premiere of "Smurfs" in Los Angeles last summer.

Rocki Irish Mayers

The couple's daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, was born Sept. 13, 2025.

Rihanna broke the news in a sweet Instagram post, sharing an image of herself holding the infant, who is swaddled in a pink blanket.

A second image features a pair of pink satin boxing gloves with long pink ribbons attached.

"Rocki Irish Mayers," Rihanna captioned the photos. "Sept 13 2025 🎀."

Speaking with the "Popcast" podcast in January, A$AP Rocky described his then-4-month-old daughter as "very talkative," adding that she "likes to giggle and smile."
